The Tater Hill Weather Station has Weather and Wind information updated every 15 minutes. Real-time conditions can often be very different from the forecast so most of the time calling Bubba is the best way to check if it’s flyable.

Closest major airports to Boone are Charlotte-CLT, Raleigh-RDU, and Greensboro-GSO.

  • All Pilots flying at Tater Hill Anytime, must be members of USHPA due to new Insurance regulations.

  • 5000′ ASL, 2000′ AGL, mountain faces west, depending on the wind is flyable between 230 and 340 degrees.

  • Located 8 miles north of Boone NC USA
